Journal of English and Arabic Language Teaching (JEALT) is currently seeking scholarly submissions. The issue will feature empirical research and pedagogical articles addressing language curriculum and syllabus design (e.g., framing a negotiated syllabus), methodology in English and Arabic language teaching (e.g., innovative ways to teach speaking and listening), the use of social media in English and Arabic language teaching (e.g., digital storytelling), language materials design (e.g., innovating task-based English for specific purposes or Arabic for specific purposes materials), and process-based assessment in English and Arabic language teaching (e.g. a dynamic approach to language assessment). All manuscripts are expected to have a clear relation to the theme, scope, and readership of the journal, even though the contexts and topics addressed may differ. All theoretical perspectives are welcome; we envisage this issue will showcase the identified areas of English and Arabic language teaching from a variety of conceptual and research paradigms. We also welcome pedagogical articles that discuss applications of theory and research insights in the language classroom. Articles based on actual classroom experience will be particularly relevant. The length of the research articles should be no more than 8,000 words (including references and appendices). Pedagogical articles should be between 4,000 – 6,000 words (including references and appendices). The journal regularly publishes eight (8) articles per issue.
