Journal of English and Arabic Language Teaching

This Open Access journal, Journal of English and Arabic Language Teaching (JEALT), is a scholarly refereed journal originally founded as a print journal in 2008 at the Language Development Center of State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, Indonesia. At first it was named Journal on English and Arabic Language Teaching (ISSN 2086-3012) but renamed Journal of English and Arabic Language Teaching (E-ISSN 2407-1005 | ISSN 2407-0998) in 2014 under the co-editorship of Muhammad Jailani, Ade Khoiruddin, and Dodi Settiawan, and Web Production Editor Ridho Hilmawan.

JEALT has established itself as an excellent source for the latest developments in the field, both theoretical and pedagogic, including improving standards for teaching English and Arabic as foreign languages. Therefore, this journal seeks to disseminate research to English and Arabic educators in Indonesia and around the world on these main issues: (1) instructional design and methodology in English and Arabic language teaching, (2) English and Arabic language teaching curriculum and materials design and development, (3) assessment and testing in English and Arabic language teaching, (4) ICT in English and Arabic language teaching, and (5) teacher professional development through reflective language teaching practice in English and Arabic language teaching.

This fully-refereed journal is published twice a year, in June and December. The languages of the journal are English and Arabic. The editors are currently seeking manuscripts concerning both the practice and theory of teaching English and Arabic as foreign or second language.
