FUNGSI SOSIOLOGIS AGAMA (STUDI PROFAN DAN SAKRAL MENURUT EMILE DURKHEIM)

Abstract


Emile Durkheim, an intellectual that could not be released from social contec cultural that covered him. His emphasis in sain and social reform, then he it was considered occupied the important position in the development of sociology. The framework of his theory, more gave priority to the important meaning communitystructure, the interaction and the institution social-in understood thinking and the behaviour of humankind. He want to saw almost all the main change in humankind that is the problem of the law, morality, the profession, the family and the identity, science, art but also the religion, by using the social point of view. Durkheim, claimed without the existence of the community that give birth and formed all that, there was not any that will emerge in the life. As a sociology thinker, he carried out the analysis of relations between virile and the social structure. The Durkheim view about the religion was focussed on his claim that the religion was "something that very much was moral". The source of the religion was the community personally that will consider something that was sacral or profane. Durkheim found the characteristics was most basic from each religious belief not was located in "supernatural" elements, but was located in the concept about "that was sacred" [sacred], where both of them that is supernatural and that was sacred, had the basic difference, and has social function.
