PENGEMBANGAN ECOTOURISM BERBASIS PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT PESISIR DI KAMPUNG MALAHING

Abstrak

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pemberdayan masyarakat di Kampung Malahing dalam rangka pengembangan pariwisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan Participatory Rural Approach. Penelitian ini mempetakan beberapa potensi pengembangan maysarakat mulai dari modal sumber daya masyarakat, modal sosial, modal ekonomi, modal infrastruktur dan modal keuangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Kampung Malahing memiliki potensi yang besar di sektor pariwisata akan tetapi perlu dilakukan pendampingan intens dari para pihak (pemerintah, perusahaan, dan masyarakat). Pendampingan tersebut dapat dilakukan dalam bentuk program-program pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk mengembangkan parwisata berwawasan lingkungan sehingga dapat memberikan dampak positif pada dimensi social, ekonomi dan lingkungan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the community empowerment strategy in Kampung Malahing in the context of tourism development. This study uses a qualitative method with the Participatory Rural Approach approach. This study maps out several community development potentials starting from community resource capital, social capital, economic capital, infrastructure capital and financial capital. The results of this study are that Kampung Malahing has great potential in the tourism sector but needs intense assistance from the parties (government, companies, and the community). This assistance can be carried out in the form of community empowerment programs to develop eco-friendly tourism so that it can have a positive impact on the social, economic and environmental dimensions.
