Analisis Model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dalam Pembelajaran Materi Haji: Pendekatan Filosofis

Abstract


Abstract. Many muslims have had a very narrow view about worship, which   focuses more on technical-symbolic issues than the philosophical meanings and lessons. This research aims to raise collective awareness in society, about the multidimensionality of hajj that should be understood and practiced. The research also brings a spirit of change in learning religion among senior high school students using philosophical point of view.  The study is a qualitative-library research and descriptively narrated, to find the philosophical meanings of hajj and its learning models. The Study found some important points. Firstly, the worship of hajj has a divine philosophy to let human beings realize their limitations, by performing high standard of moral values   as implemented by the prophet of the Abraham PBUH family. Secondly, the Contextual Teaching and  Learning (CTL)  model is grounded in strong theories and logic to present the teaching of hajj in an interdisciplinary and can address all domains of Bloom’s taxonomy. Thirdly, Through CTL students actively engage in connecting their knowledge and experiences, supplemented by input from teachers, exploring various references, and observing live situations in society to analyze and synthesize new knowledge that is more concrete and relevant to their lives.  Forthly, a teacher well-versed in CTL will face new challenges in guiding students’ learning dynamics and fostering creativity inside and outside of the classroom.  

Abstrak. Sebagian ummat Islam terlalu sederhana dalam memahami makna ibadah, yakni hanya menekankan kepada yang bersifat teknikal-simbolik, dan mengabaikan filosofinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyadarkan masyarakat,  tentang  multidimensionalitas ibadah haji yang perlu dipahami dan dipraktikkan.  Penilitian ini juga membawa semangat perubahan  dalam pembelajaran  Pendidikan Agama Islam di jenjang Pendidikan Menengah Atas dengan mengintroduksi pendekatan filosofis. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif berbasis pustaka (library research) dan deskriptif, untuk menggali nilai-nilai filosofis ibadah haji dan model pembelajarannya. Penelitian menghasilkan beberapa temuan penting. Pertama, bahwa haji memiliki filosofi agar manusia menyadari keterbatasannya, sehingga bisa menampilkan akhlak mulia  seperti keluarga Nabi Ibrahim AS. Kedua,  Model Contextual Teaching and  Learning (CTL)  memiliki pijakan teori dan logika yang kuat untuk menghadirkan pembelajaran haji secara interdisipliner dan  menjangkau semua ranah taksonomi Bloom. Ketiga, dengan CTL siswa bisa   menghubungkan pengetahuan dan pengalamannya dengan pembelajaran guru,  referensi dan pengamatan  di masyarakat yang kemudian dianalisa dan disintesa menjadi  pengetahuan  baru yang membumi. Keempat, dengan CTL guru  akan mendapat banyak tantangan baru dalam membersamai dinamika pembelajaran dan mendorong kreatifitas di dalam dan di luar kelas.
