Author Guidelines
The article submitted has never been published and is not being sent to other journals.
- Articles written for Journal Menara are the result of community service activities.
- The length of the article is 10 to 20 pages written according to the template.
- The article is written in English. Article’s writing adjusts the Author Guidelines
- Systematic articles of research results are title, author's name (accompanied by institutional address and e-mail address), abstract (accompanied by keywords), introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusions, and references.
- The title of the article in Indonesian is no more than 15 words, while in English it is no more than 12 words.
- The name of the author in the article is listed without an academic degree, accompanied by the name of the institution, e-mail of the author, placed under the title of the article. If the manuscript is written by more than one person, the e-mails listed are only the e-mail of the main author (correspondence author).
- Abstract and keywords are written in English. Abstract 100-150 words long, accompanied by 3-5 words keywords. Abstract at least contains goals, methods, and results.
- The introduction of the article contains the background, context of service activities, literature review, and goals of service. All introductory sections are integrated presented in paragraph form.
- The method section contains paragraphs about the subject of service activities, place/location of service, implementation time, subject involvement, and methods/strategies used.
- The results and discussion section contains an explanation of the results of the analysis related to the objectives of the activity. This section describes the results of community service activities that have been carried out, including the process of activities, actions taken, and social changes that occurred during the activities carried out. The author also needs to explain the social changes that are expected in the long term after the activity is carried out, for example, the occurrence of changes in behavior, the emergence of innovations, the emergence of new institutions, and so on.
- The conclusion section contains answers to the purpose of writing and is presented in the form of paragraphs, not bullet points that explain the conclusions of community service results, limitations, and recommendations.
- All texts are reviewed anonymously by double-blind reviewers appointed by the editor based on their area of expertise. The article writer must revise the manuscript based on recommendations/suggestions from reviewers and/or editors.
- The reference list only contains the sources referenced in the article, and all sources referenced must be listed in the reference list.
- At least 70% of the total references used are primary sources in the form of articles in journals, especially from Sinta accredited journals and well-known international journals. At least 80% of references were published within 10 years.
- References and citations use the APA Style 6th edition reference technique. An example of citing the source is a direct quote is accompanied by information about the page number from which the citation is. Example: Prell (2013) or (Prell, 2013)
- Reference lists are recommended using reference management tools (Mendeley, Zotero, and others). The reference list is arranged alphabetically according to the 6th edition of APA Style.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright of the article shall be assigned to Menara Riau and published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) of Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau as publisher of the journal.
