Kebersyukuran, Self-Compassion, dan Kesejahteraan Psikologi pada Caregiver Skizofrenia

Abstrak

Penelitian-penelitian pendahuluan menemukan bahwa terdapat beban yang harus dihadapi caregiver skizofrenia dalam merawat penderita. Beban-beban tersebut dapat membuat keberfungsian psikologis caregiver menjadi menurun. Keberfungsian psikologi dapat diukur menggunakan kesejahteraan psikologi. Dalam penelitian ini, dua faktor penting yaitu kebersyukuran dan self-compassion akan dikaji secara sistematis bagaimana keterkaitannya dengan kesejahteraan psikologi pada caregiver skizofrenia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif menggunakan analisis regresi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 43 caregiver skizofrenia. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kebersyukuran dan self-compassion secara bersama-sama dapat memprediksi secara signifikan kesejahteraan psikologi pada caregiver skizofrenia. Implikasi untuk penelitian mendatang dan aplikasi akan dijelaskan lebih lanjut dalam tulisan ini.

Abstract.

Previous studies have found that there were burdens that schizophrenia caregivers must face in treating the patients. Those burdens made the psychological function of caregiver not optimum. The psychological function can be measured by psychological well-being. In this study, two important factors, gratitude and self-compassion, would be investigate systematically. Result suggest that gratitude and self-compassion may play a significant role in psychological-well-being of schizophrenia caregivers. This study was conducted with quantitative method using regression analysis. The subjects in this study were 43 schizophrenic caregivers. The result of the analysis indicates that gratitude and self-compassion were significantly related to psychological well-being in schizophrenic caregiver. Implications for future research and applications of the construct will be discussed.
