Digital Divide dan Kemiskinan Struktural: Analisis Kesenjangan Akses Informasi di Majene

Abstract


Kesenjangan digital di wilayah perdesaan terpencil masih menjadi persoalan serius di tengah meningkatnya penetrasi internet nasional. Penelitian ini mengkaji hambatan akses internet dan dampaknya terhadap kesempatan ekonomi masyarakat miskin di Kecamatan Ulumanda, Kabupaten Majene. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan diskusi kelompok terarah. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan model kesenjangan digital Van Dijk, diperkuat dengan teori difusi inovasi Rogers dan pendekatan domestikasi teknologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kesenjangan digital multidimensional pada level akses fisik, material, keterampilan, dan penggunaan. Kesenjangan tersebut memicu dampak berantai berupa terputusnya komunikasi ekonomi pengrajin rotan dengan pasar, penurunan pendapatan, dan ancaman terhadap keberlanjutan industri kerajinan lokal, yang bermuara pada kemiskinan komunikasi.
