Abstract

Beberapa literatur maqashid menjelaskan dua dimensi manusia yang hendak dijaga yaitu hifz al-nafs dan hifz al-„aql. Agaknya, konsep ini belum utuh memandang manusia dan terkesan ambigu dalam memformulasikan konsepsi manusia. Manusia terdiri atas dimensi fisik (lahiriah) dan psikologis (bathiniah). Mestinya, kedua dimensi dijadikan fokus kajian yang seimbang dan menyeluruh dalam formulasi konsep maqashid. Dalam hal ini, pendekatan psikologis menjadi amat urgens dan menarik untuk dikembangkan. Berdasarkan kajian ini dirumuskan bahwa terdapat empat dimensi manusia yang mesti dijaga yaitu al-ruh, al-„aql, al-qalb dan al-jism
