Author Guidelines
Editorial Policy
Manuscripts must be research-based articles or book review and potentially contribute to the development of insight of how religion influences, interacts with, and has been applied in one or more (comparatively) of the Asia-Pacific countries. Papers must be of the highest quality and will eligibly be published after two selective reviews, namely editorial review to assess how the submitted manuscript is written against the journal guidelines and objective, and peer review to examine its quality. Two scholars will be appointed for reviewing each article. Author(s) may propose a special issue of the journal as an additional publication.
Types of decision
Accept This indicates that the manuscript is accepted without revision and ready to be published after minor editorial adjustment.
Minor revision The manuscript is returned to the author(s) for small and non-substantial revision including minor language problems and slight changes of the structure and the content. The author(s) should revise according to the reviewers’ and editor’s suggestions.
Major revision The manuscript is returned to the author(s) because it contains substantial weaknesses and problems such as the clarity of arguments, lack significantly in theoretical framework and analysis. The author(s) should revise according to the reviewers’ and editor’s suggestions.
Reject The manuscript is unpublishable according to APJRS standards.
Editorial Guidelines
Title page of the manuscript contains full title, subtitle (if any), and number of words. The manuscript will be blindly refereed, and therefore the author name, affiliation and other identifiable details plus a short bibliographical note must be provided on a separate sheet.
Abstract is provided by the author of around 150 words followed by up to 6 keywords.
Manuscript is written in a succinct and concise American English, avoiding jargons. The length of manuscript should be between 6000 and 7000 words. For a book review, it contains no more than 3000 words.
Manuscript is typed using Microsoft Word, clearly organized and structured, double-spaced, two-enters between each paragraph, and the right margin is left not justified.
Direct quotation of more than 40 words must be indented in the text. The quotation uses font size 11, while 12 for the rest of the text.
Notes are allowed when necessary, but authors should understand that excessive use of notes might lessen the readability of the manuscript.
APJRS does not use Arabic scripts but accept its transliteration following specific rules APJRS provides in the annex.
