Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Guru Mengalami Stres di Sekolah
Abstract
Pekerjaan sebagai guru sangat rentan terkena stres. Sayangnya, kajian atau penelitian tentang stres yang dialami guru masih jarang dilakukan pada konteks pendidikan Indonesia. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi gab tersebut dengan melakukan studi pustaka (literature review) tentang berbagai faktor yang menyebabkan guru mengalami stres. Data untuk proses review diperoleh dari berbagai artikel jurnal dan buku yang relevan dengan stres guru. Berdasarkan hasil review, terdapat tujuh sumber stres guru yang teridentifikasi, yakni perilaku buruk siswa, praktik kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang tidak sesuai, kurangnya dukungan rekan kerja, tuntutan pekerjaan yang begitu banyak, kekurangan gaji, kondisi pekerjaan yang kurang baik, dan perubahan kebijakan pendidikan. Hasil kajian ini berkontribusi untuk pengembangan penelitian tentang stres guru di Indonesia. Misalnya, sangat direkomendasikan penelitian selanjutnya melakukan pengembangan instrumen stres guru untuk mendeteksi sumber dan tingkat stres guru dalam konteks pendidikan Indonesia. Selain itu, konselor dan pemimpin lembaga pendidikan, misalnya kepala sekolah, disarankan untuk lebih aktif dalam mengindentifikasi stres guru dan mengupayakan berbagai strategi untuk mengatasi dan mengelola stres guru. Hal tersebut bertujuan supaya potensi guru dapat maksimal dalam mengajar tanpa ada ada stres kerja yang membahayakan.
