Author Guidelines

Before prepare and submit article manuscripts, please note that author(s) are discouraged from withdrawing submitted papers after it is in the publication process (review, copyedit, layout, etc.,). During the time, Jurnal Teknik Industri (JTI) had spent valuable resources besides time spent in the process.

Please prepare your manuscript before submission, using the following guidelines and the article template below:

Language in the Article. We currently accept English and Bahasa Indonesia articles.

 Format. Article files should be provided in Microsoft Word format.

 Article Length. Articles should be maximal 10 pages, including references

Article Title. A title of use Times New Roman14 and center aligment.

Author Details and Authorship. All contributing authors’ names should be added, and their names arranged in the correct order for publication. A correct email address should be supplied only by the corresponding author. The full name of each author must be present in the exact format they should appear for publication, including or exclude any middle names or initials as required. The affiliation of each contributing author should be correct on their individual author name.

The criteria of authorship are as follows; Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; Final approval of the version to be published; Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Structured Abstract. Authors must supply a structured abstract in their submission, which includes:

  • Purpose
  • Design/methods/approach
  • Findings/results
  • Conclusions

A maximum of 200 words in total excluding keywords. 

Keywords. Authors should provide appropriate and short keywords that encapsulate the principal topics of the paper. The maximum number of keywords is 5 (five) phrases.

Headings. Heading at the second level is written in boldface italics using upper and lowercase letters. Heading should be left aligned. The heading at the third level follows the style of the second level heading. Avoid using headings of more than three levels.

Figures and Tables. Each image must be given a description below the image. The information in the table is given above the table. Captions are written in lowercase except the first character of each sentence. All images must be numbered consecutively. The image is placed in the center of the page (center alignment), while the table starts at the left edge (left alignment) of the page.

Captions in the image should appear below the image. References that use figures, tables, theorems or lemmas, must be preceded by a capital letter without a dividing point. Tables and pictures must be placed in the body text and meet the standards for printing. Unframed picture. Captions in the table must appear above the table.

Image and tables caption use Uppercase Only at the Beginning of the Name Only Without Ending a Period (font size 9 pt, aligned left and right)

 References. References must be listed in alphabetical order from the author's name and the order of publication for the same author's name. The order of writing references is the author's name, publication year, title or source. References are written using the APA Style rules

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors who publish with Jurnal Teknik Industri: Jurnal Hasil Penelitian dan Karya Ilmiah dalam Bidang Teknik Industri agree to the following terms:
