Peran Kecerdasan Emosi dan Dukungan Sosial Teman Sebaya dalam Memprediksi Perilaku Cyberbullying pada Remaja

Abstract


Sejumlah penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosi dan dukungan teman sebaya masing-masing memiliki hubungan dengan cyberbullying. Namun, sejumlah penelitian tersebut belum mengetahui seberapa besar peran kecerdasan emosi dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dalam memprediksi perilaku cyberbullying. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peran kecerdasan emosi dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dalam memprediksi perilaku cyberbullying pada remaja pengguna media sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan meminta partisipan mengisi kuesioner secara online. Menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling diperoleh sebanyak 251 orang sebagai partisipan (132 perempuan dan 119 laki-laki, M = 15,69, SD = 1,77). Partisipan diukur perilaku cyberbullying, kecerdasan emosi, dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosi dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya secara bersama-sama berperan dalam memprediksi perilaku cyberbullying pada remaja pengguna media sosial, F (2, 248) = 69,8; p < 0,001; R2 = 0,360. Analisis lebih lanjut menemukan bahwa kecerdasan emosi (β = -0,50; 95% CI [-0,52; -0,33]; p < 0,001) dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya (β = -0,17; 95% CI [-0,29; -0,06]; p = 0,002) secara signifikan memprediksi perilaku cyberbullying pada remaja pengguna media sosial.
