Peran konseling individu dalam meningkatkan regulasi emosi anak di lingkungan rumah

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran konseling individu dalam meningkatkan regulasi emosi anak di lingkungan rumah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan untuk memahami pengalaman emosional anak secara mendalam dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas empat anak berusia 8–12 tahun yang tinggal di Desa Kepanjen dan mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola emosi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam semi-terstruktur sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan konseling, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan yang didukung oleh triangulasi sumber dan teknik untuk menjamin keabsahan temuan. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi empat tema utama, yaitu kesulitan regulasi emosi di lingkungan rumah, strategi pengalihan sebagai mekanisme koping, keterbukaan emosional dalam proses konseling, dan perkembangan regulasi emosi yang lebih adaptif pasca-konseling. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa konseling individu berbasis humanistik memberikan ruang yang aman bagi anak untuk mengungkapkan pengalaman emosional, meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap emosi yang dialami, serta mengembangkan cara-cara yang lebih konstruktif dalam mengekspresikan dan mengelola emosi. Konseling individu juga membantu anak beralih dari kecenderungan memendam atau menghindari emosi menuju komunikasi yang lebih terbuka dan adaptif. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya konseling individu sebagai intervensi yang efektif dalam mendukung perkembangan regulasi emosi anak serta memberikan implikasi praktis bagi konselor dan orang tua dalam menciptakan lingkungan emosional yang lebih suportif di rumah.References
