Hibriditas Dalam Pelestarian Pertunjukan Folklore Reyog Obyog di Kabupaten Ponorogo
Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang hibriditas dalam pertunjukan folklore Reyog Obyog di Kabupaten Ponorogo. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini ingin mengeksplorasi hibriditas dari bentuk pertunjukan, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi, hibriditas kekinian dalam pertunjukan, dan negosiasi interdisiplin yang mampu mendukung pelestarian budaya folklore Reyog Obyog di Kabupaten Ponorogo. Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif studi kasus dengan pendekatan interdisiplin. Data primer dalam penelitian ini adalah pertunjukan folklore Reyog Obyog di Kabupaten Ponorogo, dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa (1) observasi terhadap pertunjukan folklore Reyog Obyog selama bulan Juli-Desember 2019 dan Januari-Februari 2020; (2) wawancara; dan (3) studi dokumentasi. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan sudut pandang hibriditas Homi K. Bhabha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertunjukan folklore khas Ponorogo yaitu Reyog Obyog mengadaptasi dirinya dalam bentuk budaya hibrid yang mengarah ke kontemporer. Hal tersebut didasari atas strategi kebudayaan yang diperlukan oleh Reyog Obyog dalam eksistensinya di tengah arus global dengan hibriditas dilakukan pada pertunjukan dan unsur musikal, serta eksplorasi pelaku Reyog Obyog. Produksi eksperimental, menyandingkan Reyog Obyog dengan budaya lain menciptakan ruang untuk negosiasi ulang kebudayan Ponorogo dan Indonesia, redefinisi budaya, dan dekonstruksi stereotip lokalitas bahkan nasional. Di panggung global, Reyog Obyog memperoleh potensi untuk membawa pembebasan dari representasi dan label lokal. Lebih lanjut, estetika hibrida dapat digunakan sebagai strategi untuk potensi pariwisata dan menjadi pendukung dialog internasional, integrasi antar disiplin, dan transkulturalisme.
