Work Engagement pada Karyawan yang Bekerja secara Remote Ditinjau dari Meaningful Work
Abstract
Pandemi Covid-19 telah merubah tatanan sistem kerja di dunia. Sistem kerja yang dilakukan adalah secara remote, dimana pengaturan waktu kerja dilakukan di luar ruang dan waktu organisasi secara formal, mereka bekerja secara online menggunakan aplikasi zoom, teams dan skype. Bekerja secara remote digambarkan pekerja melakukan aktivitas pekerjaannya dari lokasi yang terpisah fisik dari supervisor mereka sehingga jarang untuk bertemu satu dengan yang lainnya. Kondisi ini menimbulkan waktu kerja yang luar biasa dan tidak pasti sehingga berdampak pada tidak jelasnya batasan antara pekerjaan dengan kehidupan pribadi yang dapat menghilangkan perasaan work engagement pada karyawan. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi work engagement adalah meaningful work. Berdasarkan isu tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara meaningful work terhadap work engagement pada karyawan yang bekerja secara remote. Jumlah dari sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 152 orang dan akan dilakukan try out pada 50 orang karyawan dengan karakteristik yang sama pada sampel penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis diterima sehingga terdapat hubungan yang signifikansi antara work engagement dengan meaningful work yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05) dan nilai R Square 0,557 yang berarti meaningful wotk berkontribusi sebesar 55,7% terhadap work engagement. Faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi work engagement seperti budaya organisasi, komunikasi, gaya manajerial dan lainnya.
